Stickers and Labels: Small Tools, Big Impact

Stickers and labels might seem like simple items, but they can play a big role in branding and marketing for your business. Whether you’re packaging products, customizing promotional materials, or adding flair to your events, stickers and labels are versatile, eye-catching, and effective.

Stickers: Fun and Functional

Stickers go beyond just being fun. They’re a simple way to add instant branding to cups, bags, boxes, and more. With unique options like die-cut shapes, metallic finishes, holographic designs, and transparent backgrounds, stickers help your business stand out in creative ways.

Labels: Made for Efficiency

Labels are ideal for businesses looking for bulk solutions. Unlike stickers, which are typically individual pieces, labels are often printed on rolls for easy application to large quantities of products. They’re perfect for packaging, inventory, and shipping needs.

What’s the Difference Between a Sticker and a Label?

The main difference is in how they’re used and presented:

  • Stickers: Usually individual, die-cut adhesives designed for creative or promotional use.
  • Labels: Typically printed on rolls for easy bulk application to products or materials.

Unique Options to Make Your Brand Pop

Stand out from the crowd with custom sticker and label options:

  • Die-Cut Shapes
  • Metallic and Holographic Finishes
  • Transparent Designs

Is Your Social Media Telling the Right Story?

Social media is more than just a platform; it’s a powerful tool to connect with your audience and tell your business’s story. But are you using it effectively? Here are four key strategies to ensure your social media reflects your brand and reaches the right audience.

1. Keep It Up to Date

Consistent posting is essential. Regular updates signal to your customers that your business is open, active, and trustworthy. Inconsistent or outdated posts can leave a negative impression, so create a posting schedule and stick to it.

2. Focus on Engagement

Instead of simply posting content into the void, think about what your audience wants to see. Are you providing value? Sharing helpful tips, answering common questions, or giving behind-the-scenes looks at your business are great ways to keep your audience interested and engaged.

3. Know Your Audience

Your social media content should be tailored to the people you’re trying to reach. For example:

  • Targeting Professionals? Keep your posts polished and informative. Avoid trendy content that might come off as unprofessional.
  • Reaching a Younger Audience? Make your content vibrant, fun, and interactive. Lean into trends that resonate with this demographic while staying true to your brand.

The same content idea can be presented in multiple ways—choosing the format that aligns with your audience is key.

4. Use Ad Campaigns to Grow

Social media ads can help you reach new customers. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn allow you to target specific audiences based on demographics, interests, and location. Define your ideal customer, and let the platforms do the work of connecting you with them.

Promo Items That Make a Lasting Impression

Promotional items have come a long way from the simple trade show giveaways of the past. While classics like koozies, pens, and USB drives still have their place, there’s an opportunity to go beyond the basics and create a memorable impact with high-quality, thoughtfully selected items.

Customer Appreciation Gifts

Want to show your top customers how much you value their business? Invest in a high-quality gift they’ll use and cherish. Items like Bluetooth speakers, cutting boards, coolers, and camp chairs offer lasting utility and demonstrate your appreciation. One well-chosen quality item can have a greater impact than a collection of inexpensive trinkets. Industries like real estate, financial advising, law, and luxury healthcare can particularly benefit from these thoughtful gestures.

Curated Welcome Boxes

First impressions matter, and a curated welcome box can set the tone for a strong, lasting relationship. Whether you’re onboarding a new client or welcoming someone to a training course, these boxes are a fantastic way to build trust and excitement.

Here’s how to craft a standout welcome box:

  • Include 1-3 Promotional Items: Make them useful and relevant. For example, a logo’d fanny pack or a phone ring light.
  • Add Printed Materials: Include educational pieces like a training packet or “meet your team” card to provide essential information.
  • Just-for-Fun Piece: A whimsical item like chocolate shaped like a syringe (perfect for medspa training) adds personality and delight.

These customized boxes not only surprise and delight recipients but also reinforce your brand’s value and thoughtfulness.

The Perfect Postcard Template

How to Design The Perfect Postcard for Mail Marketing

Mail marketing remains one of the most effective ways to connect with customers, drive sales, and reinforce brand recognition. A well-designed postcard can grab attention and deliver a clear, compelling message. Here’s how to create the perfect postcard for your next mail campaign:

1. Define Your Goal

Before designing your postcard, determine the objective of your campaign. Are you promoting a sale, announcing a new product, or driving traffic to your website? A clear goal will help shape your design and messaging.

2. Keep It Simple and Eye-Catching

Your postcard needs to make an impact at a glance. Use bold headlines, striking images, and minimal text to keep it visually appealing. The goal is to grab attention immediately and encourage the recipient to read further.

3. Use High-Quality Images and Graphics

A high-resolution image or graphic can make a world of difference. Whether it’s a photo of your product, a happy customer, or an engaging design, visuals should be crisp, professional, and relevant to your message.

4. Craft a Compelling Headline

Your headline is the first thing people will read. Make it engaging and to the point. It should highlight the main benefit or offer, such as “20% Off This Weekend Only!” or “Your Dream Vacation Starts Here.”

5. Keep Your Copy Concise

Less is more when it comes to postcard copy. Stick to short, persuasive sentences that drive action. Use bullet points or bold text to highlight key benefits and make the information easy to scan.

6. Include a Strong Call to Action (CTA)

Tell your audience what you want them to do next. Whether it’s visiting your website, calling a number, or redeeming a special offer, make sure your CTA is clear and prominent.

7. Leverage Both Sides of the Postcard

The back of your postcard is just as important as the front. Use this space strategically for additional details, testimonials, or a QR code that links to your website.

8. Use Branding Elements Consistently

Your postcard should align with your brand’s colors, fonts, and tone. Consistency helps reinforce brand recognition and builds trust with your audience.

9. Ensure It’s Print-Ready

Work with a professional printing service to ensure high-quality results. Make sure your design follows standard postcard dimensions, includes bleed areas, and uses print-friendly colors and fonts.

10. Target the Right Audience

A beautifully designed postcard is only effective if it reaches the right people. Use a targeted mailing list to ensure you’re sending your postcards to an audience that’s most likely to engage with your offer.

Your Quick Guide to Mail Marketing

As digital marketing grows more competitive, businesses are rediscovering the power of mail to connect with their customers. In March, we’re celebrating the impact of mail marketing and exploring why it might be the secret ingredient your business needs to stand out.

Why Mail Works

Mail marketing stands apart from digital methods because it is tangible, personal, and often more effective. Here are three reasons why mail deserves a place in your marketing strategy:

  1. It’s Measurable: Use tools like mail-exclusive coupons, call tracking phone numbers, and QR codes to track campaign performance and ROI.
  2. It Converts: Unlike email, which faces stiff competition in crowded inboxes, physical mail grabs attention and achieves higher response rates.
  3. It’s Versatile: Whether you’re running a hyper-local campaign or targeting a niche audience, mail can be tailored to meet your goals.

EDDM vs. Direct Mail: Which is Right for You?

  • Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM): Ideal for reaching everyone in a specific neighborhood or area without needing individual addresses.
  • Direct Mail: Perfect for targeting a specific group with a personalized message using an existing mailing list.

Maximize Your Mail Campaigns

Take your mail campaigns to the next level by integrating additional touchpoints:

  • Geofenced Social Media Ads: Complement your mail efforts with online visibility.
  • Door Hangers: Double down on local presence with a two-pronged approach.
  • Mail Series: Build momentum with a 3-part mail campaign to keep your brand top of mind.

Elevate Your Business Event with Print Marketing

Make Your Business Events POP

Hosting a business event can be a powerful way to engage customers, build relationships, and grow your brand. But what separates a so-so event from one that truly wows your attendees? The secret lies in intentional, cohesive messaging that starts well before the event and lingers long after it ends.

Step 1: Create an Intentional, Cohesive Message

When it comes to making an impact, consistency is key. Everything from banners and booklets to nametags and table tents should work together to create a unified experience. This cohesive branding tells your attendees you’ve thought of every detail and that their participation is valued. From the moment they walk through the doors to the time they leave, your event should be a seamless reflection of your business.

Step 2: Get Attendees Excited

Building anticipation for your event is just as important as the event itself. Social media is a fantastic tool to spread the word and generate buzz. Use boosted posts to increase your reach and targeted mail campaigns to ensure the right audience knows about your event. Follow up with reminder emails that not only keep your event top of mind but also build excitement.

Step 3: Leave a Lasting Impression

The event might end, but its impact should continue. Quality promotional items serve as reminders of your event and your business. Think beyond pens and keychains—choose items that are useful, memorable, and align with your brand. Don’t forget to promote your next event while the positive impressions are still fresh in your attendees’ minds!

Updating Your Brand for the New Year

Why Start the New Year with a Fresh Look?

The new year is a time for growth and transformation, not just personally but professionally. For small businesses, it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on your brand’s identity and ensure it aligns with your goals for the year ahead. Whether you’re looking to attract new customers, stand out from competitors, or simply refresh your image, a redesigned logo and updated branded materials can make a powerful statement.

Signs It’s Time to Update Your Branding

  1. Your Logo Feels Outdated
Trends change, and what looked modern a decade ago might not resonate today. A refreshed logo can make your brand feel contemporary and relevant.
  2. Your Branding Lacks Consistency
If your business cards, flyers, and social media visuals don’t align, you’re sending mixed messages. A cohesive look across all materials builds trust and recognition.
  3. You’re Reaching a New Audience
Expanding your services or targeting a new demographic? Your brand should speak directly to their needs and values.
  4. Your Business Goals Have Shifted
A rebrand can symbolize growth and new ambitions, signaling to customers that you’re ready to take your business to the next level.

Benefits of Redesigning Your Branded Materials

  • Stand Out in a Crowded Market: A striking new design grabs attention and helps your business stay memorable.
  • Boost Credibility: Professionally designed materials reflect professionalism and quality, which can translate into customer trust.
  • Create a Stronger Emotional Connection: Modern branding that resonates with your target audience builds loyalty and engagement.

How to Prepare Your Design File for Professional Printing

When you’re ready to send your design file off to a professional printer, such as Printing Image, it’s important to make sure that it’s prepared correctly. By following these best practices, you can ensure that your print job comes out looking exactly the way you want it to.
1. Use the correct file format.
When exporting, choose your file format carefully. Some formats are better suited for digital viewing, while others are designed specifically for printing. When preparing your design file, make sure to use a format that your printer can accept. We typically prefer native files such as (Illustrator or Indesign) or PDFs.
You should typically avoid low resolution jpegs, pngs, or scans when it comes to printing.
2. Set the correct resolution.
The resolution of your design file is important for ensuring that your print job has crisp images and clear text. For most print jobs, you’ll need a resolution of at least 300dpi.
3. Use CMYK color mode.
There are several different color modes you may commonly see such as CMYK and RGB. The CMYK color mode is the standard for professional printing. Make sure to set your design file to CMYK before sending it to the printer for the best color conversion.
When you need a color to match exactly to your brand colors or a pre-existing print piece, it is best practice to identify your target Pantone PMS color for your printer to match.
4. Include a bleed in your print file
A “bleed” refers to the distance that your design extends past the final cut size. A bleed is an important aspect of print design files as it allows for any minor shifts that may occur during printing or trimming to go unnoticed. For example for a 2″x3.5″ business card, we recommend including a .125″ bleed.
5. Proofread your work carefully.
Before you send your design file to the printer, take the time to proofread it carefully. This will help you catch any errors in text or design that you may have missed and will end up saving you time and money in the long-run!
By following these best practices, you can ensure that your design file is prepared correctly for professional printing. This will help you get the best possible results from your print job. However if you have any questions about your print files, our team will be happy to advise at [email protected].
